The Youth Economic Forum in Petrozavodsk (Karelia) is a discussion platform bringing together young scientists and specialists dealing with theoretical and practical issues of socio-economic development.The Forum has been held since 2008 with support from the Government of the Republic of Karelia at several scientific and educational institutions in the city of Petrozavodsk.
The Forum is for young scientists, professionals, PhD students, students, senior schoolchildren, businesses and public authorities. Participants presenting the best papers will be awarded diplomas and valuable gifts. Full versions of papers by young scientists are published in the proceedings of the Forum.
Annually more than 200 participants attend the Forum. They represent different regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries.
The Forum comprises plenary and parallel sessions, popular science lectures, seminars, round tables and workshops with the participation of experts who build up the participants’ motivation for scientific and applied activities.
